Pioneros slamed Corr.Victoria on the road and clinched the quarterfinal stage appearance. The game was mostly controlled by Pioneros. Correcaminos was better in second period 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pioneros shot 62.1 percent from the field. Pioneros outrebounded Correcaminos 39-21 including a 28-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. It was a good game for the former international forward Hector Hernandez (206-85, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international guard Forrest Fisher (193-80) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Pioneros players scored in double figures. American point guard Myron Allen (182-79, college: Lee JC) answered with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Brandon Robinson (202-81, college: Auburn, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Correcaminos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
