Wollongong Hawks (#4) were upset in Wulguru by seventh ranked Townsville Crocodiles 82-74. Wollongong Hawks trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 74-82 at the end of the game. Townsville Crocodiles dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Wollongong Hawks' 24. The best player for the winners was American point guard Gary Ervin (183-83, college: Arkansas) who scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
