Regular Season Round 15: 36ers - Breakers 66-84

NBL top team - New Zealand Breakers (15-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Adelaide 36ers (6-12) in Findon 84-66. Adelaide 36ers were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. New Zealand Breakers forced 19 Adelaide 36ers turnovers. It was a good game for Fijian-New Zealand forward Mika Vukona (198-82) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Cedric Jackson (191-86, college: Cleveland St.) contributed with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) answered with 19 points and 6 rebounds and center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) added 9 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for New Zealand Breakers. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-3 record. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the seventh position with 12 games lost. New Zealand Breakers' next round opponent will be Wollongong Hawks (#4) in Gwynneville. Adelaide 36ers will play on the road against Melbourne Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
