Soles pulled ahead in the quarterfinal series versus Panteras. The game without a history. Soles led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Panteras' 40. Soles forced 19 Panteras turnovers and outrebounded them 40-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Panamanian forward Jamelle Horne (200-88, college: Arizona) fired 20 points for the winners. Naturalized American swingman Justin Griffin (194-83, college: Hawaii-Hilo) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. Griffin is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi) produced 19 points and Panamanian power forward Antonio Garcia (203-76, college: Ky Wesleyan) added 4 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
