Regular Season Round 25: Summerside S. - Halifax R. 135-90

There was no letdown for the Summerside Storm on Friday night. In fact, the Storm turned it up a few notches en route to posting a 45-point victory – 135-90 – over the Halifax Rainmen at Eastlink Arena. That win came 24 hours after the Storm defeated the National Basketball League of Canada-leading London Lightning 116-97 on Thursday. The win improved the Atlantic Division-leading Storm’s record to 17-10 (won-lost) while the Rainmen dropped to 13-15. The Storm, who led 32-25 after the first 12-minute period, started to pull away in the second quarter, outscoring the Rainmen 37-18 to take a 69-43 advantage into the half. The Storm proceeded to outscore the Rainmen 39-25 and 27-22 in the final two quarters. The Storm, who had six players scored in double figures, were led by Omari Johnson’s 24-point effort and 23 from Brandon Robinson. Antoine Tisby was Halifax’s top scorer with 16 points.
