Regular Season Round 27: Guangsha L. - Beijing Ducks 96-113

Not a big story in a game in Hangzhou where 9th ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (13-13) were defeated by third ranked Beijing Ducks (18-7) 113-96 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Beijing Ducks. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions was better in second period 27-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!). Forward Zhe Ji (202-89) helped adding 13 points and 13 rebounds. Five Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Puerto Rican center Peter John Ramos (222-85) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 14 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Panamanian-American swingman Gary Forbes (201-85, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Beijing Ducks. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Shandong FB. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Beijing Ducks will face Jiangsu Dragons (#14) in Nanjing in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play at home against TianJin Steel (#12) in Tianjin.
