Quarter-Finals Round 2: Soles - Panteras 92-82

Soles claimed the second consecutive win over Panteras. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Panteras managed to win fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Soles dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Panteras' 26. Soles forced 21 Panteras turnovers. 29 personal fouls committed by Panteras helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Panamanian forward Jamelle Horne (200-88, college: Arizona) who scored 28 points. American center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Four Soles players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican point guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83, agency: Paris Global Sports) produced 24 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international guard Karim Malpica (190-78) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
