Important game to mention about took place in Aldeota. Fifteenth ranked Mogi (6-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging higher ranked SKY/Basquete (9-8) 74-71 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Mogi made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Mogi outrebounded SKY/Basquete 38-23 including 30 on the defensive glass. The former international center Babby Araujo (211-80, college: BYU) had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Maurice Riddick (188-79, college: Beth.-Cookman) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Five Mogi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward William Drudi (206-81) with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the former international swingman Andre Bresolin (195-87) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mogi moved-up to fourteenth place. SKY/Basquete at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Paulistano. Mogi will play against higher ranked Liga Sorocaba (#12) in Sorocabana in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SKY/Basquete will play at home against the league's second-placed Uberlandia (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
