Rather expected game when 7th ranked PVSK Pannon (8-10) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Soproni (11-7) 80-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Soproni. PVSK Pannon managed to win second period 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded PVSK Pannon 39-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. American guard Dontay Thomas (186-84, college: La Salle) notched 13 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and swingman Norbert Takacs (197-90, agency: TSS Management) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Four Soproni players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) did not help to save the game for PVSK Pannon. The former international forward Norbert Toth (203-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 17 points and 9 rebounds. Soproni maintains fourth position with 11-7 record. PVSK Pannon lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Falco-Szova. Soproni will meet Szedeak (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PVSK Pannon will play against ZTE KK (#6) in Zalaegerszeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
