Fuerza Regia cut the deficit in the quarterfinal series againt Halcones Rojos. They claimed the first win to trail 1-3 in the series. The game without a history. Fuerza Regia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones Rojos' 38. Fuerza Regia players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Mario West (195-84, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) contributed with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Fuerza Regia players scored in double figures. The former international guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming) replied with 16 points and Venezuelan power forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Halcones Rojos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
