An interesting game for Elitzur Ramla (10-5) which played road game in Hasharon against 4th ranked Ramat Hasharon (6-8). Second ranked Elitzur Ramla had an easy win 69-54. It looked good early as Ramat Hasharon took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Elitzur Ramla had a 18-12 second period charge getting the lead and Ramat Hasharon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 54-69. Elitzur Ramla forced 22 Ramat Hasharon turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Tamara James (178-84, college: Miami, FL) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Allison Hightower (178-88, college: LSU, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jessica Breland (190-88, college: N.Carolina) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American forward Alysha Clark (178-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Elitzur Ramla have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 10-5 record having five points less than leader Maccabi Ashdod. Ramat Hasharon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Elitzur Holon and Hap.Petah Tikva. Elitzur Ramla will play against Elitzur Holon (#6) at home in the next round. Ramat Hasharon will play against Elitzur Netanya and hopes to get back on the winning track.
