Quarter-Finals Round 4: Pioneros - Toros 74-86

Toros claimed the third win over Pioneros and are now one step away from the semifinal stage. It looked good early as Pioneros took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Toros had a 22-16 second period charge getting the lead and Pioneros were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 74-86. The winners were led by American-Nigerian forward Ike Ofoegbu (205-85, college: SMU) who scored that evening 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Rene Rougeau (198-86, college: UNLV, agency: ProSportsCareers) supported him with 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five Toros players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Mike Williams (201-85, college: Cincinnati) did not help to save the game for Pioneros. The former international forward Hector Hernandez (206-85, college: Fresno St.) added 16 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Pioneros' coach Josep Claros rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
