Fuerza Regia stayed alive in the quarterfinal series versus Halcones Rojos claiming a tough overtime win at home court. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 22-11 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 1-point victory in overtime. Halcones Rojos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) who scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Mo Charlo (201-83, college: Nevada) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Little is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) produced 26 points and 5 assists and Venezuelan power forward Luis Bethelmy (200-86) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Halcones Rojos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
