WNBL top team - Bendigo Spirit (19-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked West Coast Waves (3-18) in Perth 65-41. Bendigo Spirit forced 19 West Coast Waves turnovers. American forward Kelsey Griffin (188-87, college: Nebraska) nailed a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international point guard Kristi Harrower (166-75) accounted for 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Natalie Burton (195-89, college: W.Virginia) came up with 6 points and 9 rebounds and guard Amelia Todhunter (166-88) added 9 points respectively for West Coast Waves in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bendigo Spirit have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-3 record. West Coast Waves lost sixth consecutive game.
