There was an upset in Dnepropetrovsk where higher ranked Mykolaiv (13-15) was outplayed by thirteenth ranked Dnipro (9-18) 82-63 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Mykolaiv was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dnipro dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Mykolaiv's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (202-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and Australian-Dutch power forward Daniel Kickert (208-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Josh Mayo (182-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 12 points and 9 assists and his fellow American import guard Anthony Shavies (191-83, college: Missouri St., agency: Interperformances) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Mykolaiv's coach Agris Galvanovskis rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Dnipro moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with BC Odessa. Mykolaiv at the other side keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost.
