Regular Season Round 27: Windsor Exp. - Oshawa P. 127-93

It looks as though rust settled in more thickly on the Oshawa Power than the Windsor Express during a lull in the NBL Canada schedule. Coming off a 12-day layoff Wednesday at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, the Power were thrashed 127-93 by the Express, who hadn't played for 10 days. The Power started off the game slowly, losing the first quarter 29-17, and were never able to grab the momentum as the Express took a 19-point lead into halftime. Five Oshawa players hit the double-figure plateau, led by Mark Gomillia's 20 points and seven rebounds. Pickering's Papa Oppong continued his strong play with 19 points, five rebounds and assists. Nick Okorie (14), Chad Gillaspy (13) and Bo Harris (12) also contributed to a balanced Power scoring attack. Chris Commons led the way for the Express with 31 points, while Darren Duncan added six points and a game-high 16 assists. The Power dropped to 17-12 with 11 games remaining and still sit comfortably in second place in the Central standings, between the 24-4 London Lightning and 12-16 Express.
