Regular Season Round 32: DongGuan L. - Shandong FB 94-117

The game in DongGuan supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Shandong Bulls (23-7) played at the court of 6th ranked DongGuan Leopards (16-14). Shandong Bulls smashed DongGuan Leopards 117-94. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. DongGuan Leopards was better in second period 29-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to DongGuan Leopards' 40. Shandong Bulls forced 23 DongGuan Leopards turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) who added 21 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks during the contest. point guard Blake Ahearn (188-84, college: Missouri St.) responded with 32 points and 7 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five Shandong Bulls and four DongGuan Leopards players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong Bulls have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-7 record having just three points less than leader Guangdong ST. DongGuan Leopards at the other side keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Zhejiang CB. Shandong Bulls will play against league's leader Guandong Tigers in Dongguan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. DongGuan Leopards will play at home against Qingdao Eagles (#17) and hope to get back on the winning track.
