Regular Season Round 15: Snaefell - KR 110-104

Rather predictable result when third ranked Snaefell (11-4) won against 6th ranked KR (8-7) in Stykkisholmur 110-104 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 110-104. Snaefell made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St., agency: Pro One Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). American-Italian forward Ryan Amoroso (203-85, college: San Diego St.) accounted for 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Brandon Richardson (182-88, college: Nebraska) came up with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Helgi Magnusson (195-82, college: Catawba) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for KR in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Snaefell moved-up to second place, which they share with Thor Thorl. KR lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Snaefell will meet KFI (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KR will play against the league's second-placed Thor Thorl in Thorlakshofn and hope to secure a win.
