Top ranked BC Vienna (15-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of sixth ranked Raiffeisen Wels on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Raiffeisen Wels 78-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Vienna. The game was mostly controlled by Raiffeisen Wels. BC Vienna managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Vienna to just 7 points in second quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by BC Vienna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward DeVaughn Washington (202-89, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Tyler Tiedeman (201-85, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Raiffeisen Wels players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who recorded 24 points and power forward Maurice Pearson (206-89, college: Georgetown, KY) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Raiffeisen Wels (11-9) moved-up to fifth place. BC Vienna at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Kapfenberg. Raiffeisen Wels will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BC Vienna will play at home against Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and is hoping to win this game.
