No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Triobet (19-11) beat 9th ranked S.Marciulionio (16-15) in Vilnius 88-77 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-77. Triobet shot 29 for 43 from the free-throw line, while S.Marciulionio only scored six points from the stripe. Triobet forced 20 S.Marciulionio turnovers. Strangely S.Marciulionio outrebounded Triobet 44-32 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Triobet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) notched 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85) supported him with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) by power forward Giedrius Staniulis (205-91) did not help to save the game for S.Marciulionio. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Triobet moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Statyba and Zanavykas. S.Marciulionio lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. Triobet will meet at home Delikatesas (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
