The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Hanau's (8-10) home victory over 10th ranked Dresden (6-12) 88-86 on Saturday. Dresden was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Hanau looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dresden was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Marco Voeller (198-89) who scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. American center Jereal Scott (200-89, college: SF Austin) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Hanau players scored in double figures. Hanau moved-up to eighth place in Group South, which they share with Leitershofen. Dresden lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost.
