Toros claimed the opening win in the series versus Halcones Rojos. They celebrated home win on Saturday. The hosts were already 12 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-19 Halcones Rojos' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 80-71 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American forward Adrian Henning (203-82, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 5 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Wilfredo Pagan (184-76) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American forward Leroy Davis (200-81, college: Georgia St.) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import point guard Mike Mitchell (181-83, college: N.Mexico St., agency: Two Points) added 12 points in the effort for Halcones Rojos. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
