Regular Season Round 21: La Rochelle - St Chamond 83-66

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked La Rochelle (12-7) defeated at home 12th ranked Saint Chamond (6-12) 83-66. The game was mostly controlled by La Rochelle. Saint Chamond was better in second period 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. British forward Andrew Thomson (205-84, college: Catawba) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and naturalized Madagascar swingman Amy M'Boma (199-83) accounted for 17 points. Four La Rochelle players scored in double figures. American forward Tyray Pearson (201-80, college: Iowa St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (205-83) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Saint Chamond in the defeat. Saint Chamond's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for La Rochelle. Newly promoted La Rochelle maintains sixth place with 12-7 record. Saint Chamond at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. La Rochelle's next round opponent will be higher ranked Souffelweyersheim (#4) in Souffel. and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Saint Chamond will play at home against the league's leader JA Vichy (#1).
