Semi-Finals Game 3: Soles - Halc.Xalapa 90-88

Soles snatched a tough win over Halcones Xalapa to narrow the deficit in the semifinal series. Halcones UV Xalapa was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-21 charge of Soles, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Halcones UV Xalapa's 42. The best player for the winners was American center Kentrell Gransberry (206-85, college: S.Florida) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington, agency: SportsTalent) chipped in 12 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard LeRoy Hickerson (196-82, college: Cumberlands) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and international guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (185-86, college: W.Kentucky) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively. Four Halcones UV Xalapa players scored in double figures. Halcones UV Xalapa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
