Regular Season Round 27: LF Basket - Nassjo 81-72

No shocking result in a game in Lulea where eighth ranked LF Basket (11-15) defeated bottom-ranked Nassjo (5-22) 81-72 on Tuesday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-14. But Nassjo won second period 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nassjo's 28. The best player for the winners was American guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) who scored 26 points. International point guard Andreas Person (190-91) chipped in 12 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian point guard Tut Ruach (188-85) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international forward Kim Palmqvist (200-88) added 25 points respectively. LF Basket maintains eighth place with 11-15 record. Newly promoted Nassjo stay dead last with 22 lost games. LF Basket will face league's leader Sundsvall Dragons on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nassjo will play against 08 Stockholm (#7).
