Regular Season Round 29: Windsor Exp. - Montreal J. 94-83
Date: February 20, 2013
The Windsor Express recorded their fifth consecutive victory in the National Basketball League of Canada Wednesday. Windsor (15-16) beat the Montreal Jazz 94-83 at the WFCU Centre. Chris Commons led the Express with 17 points in the second half after sitting out the first two quarters with a sore knee. Michael Helms also had 17 points and former Lancer Greg Surmacz scored 15 points with 10 rebounds. "They had a lot of confidence playing against us," said Sur-macz of the last-place Jazz (2-32), who beat Windsor last month. "They play loose because they have a short bench." Darren Duncan added 11 points and ex-Lancer Isaac Kuon went 2-for-3 from the three-point line. "We've got a couple of hard games coming up," Kuon said. "We have London tomorrow. We'll see how we do against harder teams." The Express, who are 2-4 against the first-place Lightning this season, play at 7 p.m. "We've got to be ready to play," Express head coach Bill Jones said. "We have to play a little better than we played today." Courtesy of: canada.com
