Golden Hawks were trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 8-point lead after three quarters before a 29-15 charge of Badgers, which allowed them to win the game. Badgers outrebounded Golden Hawks 47-32 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for forward Mark Gibson (198) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Jameson Tipping (201, college: W.Kentucky) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Badgers' coach Brad Rootes used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. Guard Maxwell Allin (193) answered with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and guard William Coulthard (188) added 18 points in the effort for Golden Hawks. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
