Bottom-ranked BC Kyiv managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the series of six consecutive loses. This time they edged sixth-ranked Cherkasy 76-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cherkasy. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cherkasy won third quarter 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) stepped up and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian guard Tomas Delininkaitis (190-82) with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Vincent Hunter (208-84, college: Arkansas) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). BC Kyiv maintains fourteenth place with 7-25 record. Cherkasy at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. BC Kyiv will play against higher ranked Kryvbasbasket (#10) in Krivoy Rog in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cherkasy will play on the road against the league's leader Budivelnyk where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
