Three Atlanta Hawks scored at least 20 points as the Pistons fell to the Hawks 114-103 tonight at the Palace. Al Horford had 23 points and 22 rebounds and Josh Smith added 23 points. Jeff Teague had 20 points and 12 assists. Kyle Korver added 15 points (5-for-7 three-pointers) and Devin Harris scored 11. Atlanta shot 51% from the field, made 14 of 33 three-pointers (42%) and had 31 assists on 40 field goals. Rodney Stuckey scored 22 points for the Pistons and Jonas Jerebko scored 21 points off the bench. Greg Monroe had 15 points and eight rebounds, Kyle Singler had 13 points and rookie Kim English scored 10. Detroit managed to shoot 48% but was just 3 of 14 from behind the arc. The Pistons were without guards Brandon Knight (knee) and Will Bynum (suspension). It was the third straight game Detroit was beat by double-digits. Things got out of hand in the third quarter. Atlanta increased its lead to 15 after Smith made a jumper, followed by a Korver steal and three-pointer. The Hawks continued to score and after a 25-9 run held an 86-60 lead. The Pistons cut into the lead a bit, but still trailed by 18 at the end of the period. The lead grew to as much as 20 early in the fourth quarter and the Pistons were unable to mount a threat the rest of the way. The Hawks led, 61-51, at the half.
