The game was mostly controlled by Guandong Tigers. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank was better in third quarter 28-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's 58 and made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Guandong Tigers forced 19 Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank turnovers and outrebounded them 46-27 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nigerian-American power forward Ike Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners and international Jianlian Yi (212-87) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) responded with 26 points and 4 assists and international JinHui Ding (204-89) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
