Cascades were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Thunderbirds shot 20 for 29 from the free-throw line, while Cascades only scored four points from the stripe. The winners were led by American guard Doug Plumb (193, college: Minnesota St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Tommy Nixon (198) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds by Kevon Parchment did not help to save the game for Cascades. Forward Kyle Grewal (198-88) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side.
