The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-86. Shandong Bulls outrebounded DongGuan Leopards 54-39 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by DongGuan Leopards helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Pooh Jeter (180-83, college: Portland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds for the winners. Four Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. American forward Marcus Haislip (208-80, college: Tennessee) replied with 40 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for DongGuan Leopards.
