Play-Offs Round 5: Victoria - UBC 69-72

Date: March 2, 2013
Thunderbirds had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Vikies helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Doug Plumb (193, college: Minnesota St.) who scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Tommy Nixon (198) chipped in 13 points. Center Chris McLaughlin (208) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and guard Brandon Dunlop (185-88) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Vikies' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
