Regular Season Round 24: Monaco - CFBB 100-46

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-22) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-46 loss to seventh ranked Monaco (12-8) in Monaco. The game without a history. Monaco led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 26. They outrebounded CFBB 51-20 including a 40-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Monaco players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by CFBB's players. It was a good game for American center Jason Jones (203-86, college: Northeastern St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Sylvain Marco (206-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Monaco players scored in double figures. Monaco's coach Jean-Michel Senegal felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Lucas Dussoulier (200-96) replied with 11 points and 5 rebounds and forward Cyrille Eliezer-Vanerot (198-96) added 8 points in the effort for CFBB. Monaco have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Monaco maintains seventh position with 12-8 record. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Monaco will play against higher ranked La Rochelle (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. CFBB will play against Blois (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
