Regular Season Round 32: Oshawa P. - Windsor Exp. 65-101

The playoff hopes of the Oshawa Power flickered badly Wednesday night, as a complete second-half collapse resulted in a 101-65 thrashing at the hands of the visiting Windsor Express. Trailing only by a point, 42-41, at halftime, the Power were out-scored 32-15 in the third quarter and, worse yet, 27-9 in the fourth to drop their sixth straight game and fall to 18-18 in the National Basketball League of Canada. Stefan Bonneau led the Express with 20 points, while Larry Diamond had a team-high 17 for the Power at the GM Centre. With five of the league's eight teams making the playoffs, and London and Summerside already clinching, there's still a five-way battle for the final three spots. Windsor (19-18) moved ahead of Oshawa with the win, while Moncton (20-20), Halifax (18-18) and Saint John (18-19) are all in the mix as well. The Power travel east this weekend for games in Summerside Friday and Halifax Saturday before closing out the season next week, with a home game against Saint John Wednesday and a road date with Windsor Saturday, March 16.
