The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked BK Decin's (16-12) road loss to fourth ranked BK Prostejov (17-10) 68-101 on Thursday. The game without a history. BK Prostejov led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to BK Decin's 30 and made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. BK Decin was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Slovakian Roman Marko (194-86) fired 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. International Kamil Svrdlik (206-86, college: Fair Dickinson) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five BK Prostejov players scored in double figures. American guard Patrick Pope (183-81, college: St.Augustine) produced 17 points and Bosnian forward Admir Alic (197-84) added 11 points respectively for lost side. BK Decin's coach Pavel Budinsky gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. BK Prostejov maintains fourth position in Group A1 with 17-10 record. Loser BK Decin keeps the fifth place with 12 games lost. BK Prostejov will face BC Kolin (#6) on the road in the next round. BK Decin will play against NH Ostrava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
