The game was mostly controlled by Gee-Gees. Redmen managed to win second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. The former international guard Warren Ward (196-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and forward Gabriel Gonthier-Dubue (198) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. Gee-Gees' coach James DeRouin used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Vincent Dufort (195) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Bermudas guard Tejour Riley (193-94) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Redmen in the defeat. Five Gee-Gees and four Redmen players scored in double figures.
