Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tbilisi: MIA (#1) and Armia (#2). MIA (14-2) won against visiting Armia (12-3) 77-62. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Armia. Armia was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. MIA brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Armia was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Deonta Vaughn (185-86, college: Cincinnati) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four MIA players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Giorgi Gamqrelidze (183-86, agency: FCM) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international guard Lasha Parghalava (191-87, college: Montana St. - Billin) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Armia's coach Kote Tugushi rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for MIA.
