Very expected game when 14th ranked Joinville (9-18) was defeated at home by second ranked Brasilia (22-4) 96-86. The game was mostly controlled by Brasilia. Joinville was better in second period 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 26 personal fouls committed by Joinville helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by the former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) who scored that evening 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international swingman Arthur Silva (198-82) supported him with 27 points.
