Sao Jose needed overtime to edge Santo Andre in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series. Santo Andre was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Sao Jose, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 23-18. Sao Jose forced 32 Santo Andre turnovers. Santo Andre was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was swingman Ariadna Felipe (179-83) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. The former international forward Izabela De Andrade (185-86) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Sao Jose players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Fabao Oliveira (180-79) who recorded 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Tatiana Conceicao (187-81, college: SE Missouri St.) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively.
