Regular Season Round 27: Hyeres-Toulon - Antibes 64-62

A very interesting game took place in Toulon. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Olympique Antibes (15-12) to twelfth ranked Hyeres-Toulon (12-15) 64-62 on Friday evening. Olympique Antibes was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 20-15 charge of Hyeres-Toulon, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Olympique Antibes outrebounded Hyeres-Toulon 33-17 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Terence Dials (206-83, college: Ohio St.) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). point guard Axel Julien (185-92) accounted for 16 points and 5 assists for the winning side. American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import swingman Anthony Hilliard (193-86, college: Elizabeth City) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Olympique Antibes in the defeat. Four Olympique Antibes players scored in double figures. Hyeres-Toulon have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain twelfth place with 12-15 record. Olympique Antibes lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. Hyeres-Toulon's next round opponent will be higher ranked Fos Ouest (#9) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
