Lanus celebrated the second straight win at the start of the semifinal stage of Liga Americas. They held off Pinheiros/Sky to stay on top of Group D with a perfect record. Boccia stepped up with 17 points and 8 rebounds to pace the Argentinean team. Pinheiros/Sky fell at 1-1 record after the loss. Lanus jumped to an early lead. They built a 21:14 advantage at the first intermission. They kept Pinheiros/Sky at distance throughout high-flying second frame. The hosts fired 26 points to gain a 47:39 halftime advantage. Lanus stretched the margin in the third term. They accumulated a comfortable 12-point lead into the fourth frame. Pinheiros/Sky struggled to get any closer throughout the fourth term and had to surrender at the end. Prato delivered 14 points, while Laprovittola added 12 points in the win. Mineiro Ferreira and Boracini finished with 17 points each for Pinheiros/Sky.
