Second Stage Round 2: Mavort - Flamengo 95-93

Mavort stayed alive in the fight for Liga Americas Final Four birth. They snatched a tough win over Flamengo to catch up with Pinheiros/Sky in Group D ladder. Riley stepped up with 21 points to pace the Ecuadorian team. Mavort exploded with 28 points in the starting quarter to gain a 5-point lead. They kept Flamengo at distance throughout the second quarter. Mavort secured a 48:40 halftime advantage. Flamengo though increased the tempo in the third term. The Brazilian team went on a 31:25 run to cut the deficit to two points before the final stanza. Flamengo pulled ahead and posted a 4-point lead late in regulation. But three-pointers from Elys Guzman and Reynaldo Garcia brought Mavort to the victory. Elys Guzman accounted for 20 points and 9 rebounds, while Sloan added 16 points for the winners. Marquinhos Vieira answered with 32 points for Flamengo. Caio Silveira had 19 points and 14 rebounds in the loss.
