Very predictable result in Ankara where third ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (19-3) defeated 12th ranked Turk Telekom (6-16) 90-80 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Fenerbahce Ulker. Turk Telekom managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fenerbahce Ulker looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Omer Onan (194-78) fired 23 points for the winners. Australian center David Andersen (212-80) chipped in 15 points. Fenerbahce Ulker's coach Ertugrul Erdogan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Croatian power forward Drago Pasalic (208-84) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Dee Brown (185-84, college: Illinois, agency: Priority Sports) added 15 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fenerbahce Ulker moved-up to second place, which they share with Galatasaray. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Mersin. Fenerbahce Ulker will meet at home Gaziantep (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Olin Edirne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
