Second Stage Round 4: Pioneros - S.Jose/Unimed 66-70

Sao Jose/Unimed registered the first win at the Liga Americas semifinal stage. They shot down Pioneros in Cancun to take 1-0 record in Group E. Stefanelli and Jefferson Antonio netted 15 points each for the winners. Pioneros led by three points after the opening quarter. The Mexican team stretched the lead in the second frame. They gained a 42:36 halftime lead. But Sao Jose/Unimed took over after the big break. The Brazilian team stiffened their defence and narrowed the deficit at 2-point mark at the final intermission. Sao Jose/Unimed went on a 20:14 rally in the fourth frame and sneaked to a narrow win at the end. Becker posted 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Scott and Mike Williams had 17 points each in the loss.
