Rather predictable result when first ranked Aldast Strakonice (11-15) smashed on the road 3rd placed DSK Karlin (6-20) 86-58 on Saturday. The game without a history. Aldast Strakonice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to DSK Karlin's 40. Forward Katerina Krizova (186-80) stepped up and scored 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and guard Monika Kusova (172-92) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Aldast Strakonice players scored in double figures. Guard Alena Hunkova (174-87) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and American center Melissa D'Amico (195-86, college: Notre Dame, agency: Regeneracom Sports) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Aldast Strakonice. They maintain first place in A3 with 11-15 record, which they share with Lokomotiva. Loser DSK Karlin keeps the third position with 20 games lost. Aldast Strakonice will face BK Pliska Studanka (#4) in Pardubice in the next round. DSK Karlin will play at home against BK Pliska Studanka in Pardubice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
