Regular Season Round 54: Azovmash - Khimik 91-79

Date: March 27, 2013
An interesting game for Azovmash (25-14) which hosted in Mariupol one of their biggest challengers Khimik (24-15). Third ranked Azovmash managed to get a 12-point victory 91-79. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. Khimik managed to win third quarter 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. Azovmash looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) supported him with 17 points and 12 assists. Five Azovmash players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points and 13 assists by American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) did not help to save the game for Khimik. Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Khimik's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Azovmash have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU. Loser Khimik keeps the fourth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Halychyna.
