Quarter-Finals Round 2: Prievidza - Nova Ves 106-67

Date: March 27, 2013
Prievidza celebrated a comfortable home win over Nova Ves to tie things up at 1-1. The game without a history. Prievidza led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Nova Ves' 32 and made 18-of-21 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Nova Ves 38-23 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Prievidza players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Nova Ves' players. American guard Willie Powers (187-89, college: Georgia South) notched 20 points to lead the effort and the former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) supported him with 14 points and 7 assists. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Prievidza's coach Krunoslav Krajnovic felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 14 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) by Serbian power forward Aco Mandic (204-84) did not help to save the game for Nova Ves. American center Timothy Frost (208-80, college: Utah) added 14 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the guests.
