Second Stage Round 7: Svitavy - USK Praha 90-82

The game between second ranked USK Praha (16-19) and sixth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (11-24) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. USK Praha was defeated by Basketbal Svitavy in a tough game in Svitavy 82-90. Basketbal Svitavy forced 21 USK Praha turnovers. Polish center Pawel Mroz (215-84) fired 27 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Basketbal Svitavy's coach Lubomir Ruzicka used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson, agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and forward Jiri Slavik (203-89) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to fifth place in Group A2. USK Praha at the other side keeps the second position with 19 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy are looking forward to face BK Usti nad Labem (#7) on the road in the next round. USK Praha will play against Levharti Chomutov (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
