Inter had little problems cruising past Banska Bystrica in Bratislava. Inter thus swept the series and advanced into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Inter Bratislava led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international power forward Martin Rancik (204-78, college: Iowa St.) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. American-Belizean guard Marlon Garnett (188-75, college: Santa Clara) helped adding 20 points. The best for the losing side was swingman Maros Rendla (195-88) with 16 points and 7 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (193-90) scored 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
